Vulcan Surpasses 21 GW in Data Center Coverage as 2026 Forecast Sharpens

Posted on: May 1, 2025

This week, the Vulcan platform continues its expansion into data centers, now exceeding 21 GW. The graph below, capacity figures sourced from IIR, illustrates the exponential growth of data center additions. Vulcan's coverage is projected to surpass 50% of the anticipated capacity for 2026 and 2027 by next week. Current indications suggest potential delays or cancellations for numerous projects slated for 2026, as many have yet to commence construction.
